not good enough, since a thief could pry up the unlocked side and slide under.

time you use the remote ..... and then when you forget to lock it late one night, it
locks it's self automatically on a predetermined schedule. That's what I have now
with a my Chamberlain B750 garage door opener.
I used one of the two lights to power a couple of linear solenoids. This means, the
only time the door is unlocked is when the solenoids are powered by the light that
is on a 2-4 minute timer. When the light goes out, the door locks.
