Hello everyone ,
Long time since i’ve been here.
I am rebuilding my gto engine at the moment .
It was rebuilt in the us when i bought it .
Had a faulty carburettor on it, then rectified that problem
Did a doughnut or some and bent a valve.
we took the heads of (670 heads), found a bent valve .
At first i was only going to do thr heads but luckily we opened it all up,
Crank was nicely reground all the same diameters, but loisy fitted pump.
Ground 40 oversize , new pistons , but one cilinder had an extreem perpendicular groove in it
So ,60 oversize it is now.
the old conrods where fitted and where bent , they rubbed against each other
And the shells where worn on opposite sides ( 2000 mls) engine.
The old cam was a comp cams dont know the number anymore
I have now opted for
and eagle 4340 h beam rods.
Oh by the way, i can’t buy ARP bolts in the us anymore because of sanctions against russia.
