I used 10an soft aluminum lines on my truck.. Just take care uncoiling it cause it will kink easy..It happened to me..LOL
I downsized the line at the post filter before the EFI to a 8AN line and also use an 8AN line for the fuel return.
 
I think maybe NGK 8 will be overkill cold on my junk motor, im glad if i can maybe make half your power :)
but i will consider non projected tips for sure.

I may try a near tank electric fule pump AND mechanical fuel pump before i make a new 1/2" fuel system, have old parts i could try with.
Is it a bad idea to make fuel lines of something similar to hydraulic hose? It will be bulky i suspect, but its cheap and easy to have made because of the local logging activity and repair shops :rolleyes: and can be made to fit AN fittings.

Im using ptfe stainless braided hose from hydraulic shop,works great
 

you might find this video interesting and a vortech centrifugal super charger generally has advantages
