So if you are running one and if you have the money and want to clean things up under the hood you could just install an alternator with an internal regulator and everything is good to go? I take it there isn't a retrofit to internalizing the regulator?
Not that I am aware of.
Depending what you are doing, check out the CS-144 alternator.
It is the newer style and is light-years ahead of those old SI types.
I just wanted a free chromed alternator for someone that's buying and assembling some of my sbc high performance parts and this would look good together.
