So gentlemen, I have found this 96 CE. 58K miles
it has been one owner, every doc ever kept in a nice binder.
Paint is decent, not great
Interior about the same, all there, works, clean just a little worn.
Then under the hood it looks like no one ever even opened it.
Little rust here and there at the hood latch points hoses are suspect.
Check engine light is on and what not.

BUT it can be had for 11 ish?

Worth it?

let me put it this way!
ITS a 21 year old corvette, condition, is 90% plus, of what your basing its value on!
obviously multiple clear pictures , and pulling trouble codes would help, here!
putting the car up on a lift and having a professional mechanic, check it out would be helpful

BUT from the info you posted, and assuming its a decent average car, if you don,t buy it please send me a private message to its location, and contact info, that sounds like a damn bargain too me!
the last year 1996, C4 is in my opinion one of the best looking corvettes ever made! but obviously you don,t want to buy into someone elses "MONEY PIT" so check out the condoition carefilly and take it for a test drive, make sure the tires, suspensin, dribve train function correctly and look over the interior and exterior and if you can pull a CARFAX REPORT, get out the kelly blue book and try to bargain, the best price , your sure to need some parts and repairs on a 21 year old car, thats expected, but you want to buy a solid start point to work from!

most check engine lights ,are the result of OXYGEN sensors or other failed sensors, or defective catalytic converters , ALL easy to correct once isolated and verified
obviously PULL CODES DO TESTING, but its not likely to be serious if it drives

depending on your location you would not want a 96 a 95 would be way more desirable as emissions inspection is needed for any thing newer then 95 in NYS that alone would have me pass on this car.

that is true also Grumpy it is one reason why allot shops tend to move there like redline. Except redline did allot of shady stuff up here also cost allot of guys big money.
