a vette clutch replacement

After looking over the limited info available,
on the new C8 mid engine corvette its very likely that any clutch replacement,
or serious engine repair work, will require,\]
The Engine & Transmission will have to be dropped out as a complete unit bolted to the Aluminum Cradle shown in the CAD Drawings.
Thats hardly unique, Really not much different than many of the newer Minivan FWD or AWD drive train repair work, . but because the new corvette lists for north of $100K,
the dealership is sure to charge multi-thousands of dollars for a clutch replacement on the new mid engine corvette.
they already charge what I consider exorbitant prices for all the corvette repair work....they are convinced that if you can afford to buy a corvette, youve got bottomless pockets full of cash.

one more in a nearly endless list of reasons anyone purchasing a new corvette
or even thinking about purchasing a new corvette,
needs to buy a matching set of shop manuals and own a garage with a lift.
personally I've never understood the reluctance of most people to learn the skills,
or acquire the tools and reference materials required,
to do their own work on their corvette,
vs handing buckets of cash to what in many cases is someone working for a dealership,
that is learning their new car repair skills on your new car!
even if the shop manuals and a soft ware access program costs about $800,
your certain to save way more than that in the long term,
doing as much of the work as your comfortable doing.
(and the more you gain experience, skills and connections with other owners of similar cars,
and acquire specific related tools the easier and less intimidating the work tends to be.)

I wrote part of that last night Grumpy.
The rest is You.

GM has not published paperback service manuals since 2001.
All Privatised now.

There is All Data for small shops.
Expensive.
That Twin Turbo C8 will be Jam packed in the rear engine bay.

Average guy will not be able to work on.

Be a while before critical fastener torque info is available on that C8.
I can wing through most any.
But that C8 is all new.

Meant to be super car with super car maintenance why most sell at 15000 miles exotics 30k to service. Just a random number some higher some lower.

yes but the price and time length, of the service contract and the extent of whats covered under it varies wildly
if your paying over $30 k on any new vehicle it should come with a 36 month MINIMUM bumper to bumper warranty
if your paying over $50K it should extend to 5 years, MINIMUM in my opinion.
thats BEFORE your service contract extension you pay extra for, that should also be BUMPER TO BUMPER kicks in.
(and yeah the owner should be held responsible to change oil, trans fluid, brake fluid, filters and brake pads, etc.
on a scheduled & miles traveled basis, , too maintain full coverage,
but not be required to have it only done at the dealership.
