I was just wondering with a 6 speed how much effect would 4.10's have on top end. My car before the C5 was a Cobra Mustang which I had 373's installed. It was a definite improvement over stock but I wished I would have gone with 4.10's.

the maths just not that complicated or difficult to use to calculate the results.. 20 minutes of reading links and sub links and a pocket calculator or use of an on line calculator can get you the answers your looking for rather quickly if you know a few basics... but remember , as with all calculations
IT HELPS IF YOU KNOW YOUR TIRE DIAMETER , THE REAR GEAR RATIO,THE TRANSMISSION GEARS, AND IF YOU HAVE A DYNO GRAPH OF YOUR ENGINE'S TORQUE CURVE, YOU'LL GENERALLY FIND YOUR CAR'S TOP SPEED MAX'S OUT NEAR OR JUST ABOVE THE ENGINES TORQUE PEAK IN TOP GEAR.
IDEALLY FOR STREET USE YOU'LL WANT TO MATCH THE TRANSMISSIONS FIRST GEAR RATIO TO THE REAR GEAR RATIO SO THAT MULTIPLYING THE
TRANSMISSIONS FIRST GEAR RATIO TIMES THE REAR GEAR RATIO THE ANSWER FALLS IN THE 10.25:1-10.75:1 RANGE FOR A GOOD COMPROMISE BETWEEN ACCELERATION AND REASONABLE TOP SPEEDS (ESPECIALLY WITH AN OVER DRIVE TOP GEAR RATIO)
