new 1000 hp mopar hemi crate engine

Running Wallace Racing calculators tonight Grumpy the Dodge Death Bullet has 320 cfm Heads @ 28 inches water depression.
Puts the engine in the 6300-7,000 rpm power band.
17 psi Boost used for 1,000 Hp.

Has to be close.
Dodge Demon has 14.5 psi boost now.

Well the Good News is I don't think the Dodge Death Bullet can be pushed much Further.
Maybe 1200 Hp.
It has 4340 Forged H-Beam connecting rods.

Only Carillo H - beam can be pushed to 1500-2000 Hp.
Very unlikely inside.
Really in Crower I Beam Billet 4340 Steel and 6AL4V Titanium Rods Territory.

And GRP Forged Aluminum connecting rods & Bill Miller Aluminum.

Yeah I converted listed valve sizes Grumpy.
2.13" intake.
1.65" exhaust.

Not possible to get 400 cfm.

320 cfm likely.

Similar valve sizes in Pontiac RAIV Edelbrock heads.

So with the IRS Rear Differential and all its terrible Drag Race Deficiency putting power down clean in a Corvette you need another 300-400 Horsepower more to match the Dodge Death Bullet in a Mopar Musclecars Full Roll Caged.

Target Horsepower is 1400 in a Chevrolet Corvette that is Needed.

Pontiac 2 nd Gen Trans Am 1970 can get it done with 700-900 Hp.
Just Hooks up so much better than any Corvette. 1.7s 60 foot on street tires me driving easy to do.
1.4 60s Mickey Drag Radials.

1200 Hp Be Better.

Turbocharging is the only practical means to beat the Dodge Death Bullet.
Especially in a Corvette.
Must cut the Corvette up to do it.
C4 be the best.
No drivetrain layout limitations.
Super strong Frame on a C4.
All corvette ladder frames prior are weak.

This Dodge Death Bullet to be released as a Crate engine had to gone though extensive Water brake dyno Testing & Field Testing Drag Racing.
Making the Power is not the problem.
Full Water Jackets intact in the Block & cylinder heads and had to passed 500-1000 Full throttle dyno pulls & 500-1000 dragstrip runs without failure.

Not sure it can be done with LS Corvette factory & LSX B15 engine.
Need 1400-1500 To overcome deficiencies of the Corvette IRS Rear Diff & Halfshafts.
It wastes that much HP & power.
Solid axle layout get it done with 700-1000 HP.
Just make the Vette light, strip it down Drag race car.
Get a steering wheel & a bucket seat nothing more.
Tachometer & oil pressure gauge also.

Another way is to stick a Pontiac V8 in the Corvette.
They never listened to Chevy guys how they did the impossible & set World Records.

In theory and practice from what I have seen with High Boost LS engines Grumpy you need $10k to start over and build a Dart NSX Block Race Engine.

I don't have the spare cash to build a Prototype LS and risk having it blow up.
1400 Hp.

That little 4.8 LS can be bought now for just $200.00 local here.
Be a good Test engine.
Be nice if Crower offered a Package deal Rotating assembly for LS.
Just have Callies that I know of.

http://www.briancrower.com/makes/chevy/ls_stroker.shtml

LS Stroker Kits are available from Brian Crower, Bruce Crowers Son.

No prices listed.
CP Pistons, Carillo Products. They are very good racing pistons & take High Turbo Boost up to 44 psi I have seen 1st hand in a 4 cylinder Mitsubishi EVO evolution engine.
Stock Iron block used & stock aluminum cylinder head with 88 MM Borg Warner Turbo.

4340 Billet Crower Crankshaft.
4340 Billet Crower Rods.
What is needed for 1400 Hp to take down the Dodge Death Bullet in a c5, c6, & c7 Corvette with IRS Rear Diff.

Thinking its $7500-8000 Grumpy.

Same items needed in a Pontiac V8 to hit 1000 + Hp & keep it together for several race seasons.

Problem with a C5, C6, & C7 Corvette Grumpy is no other engine fits in easily unless its an LS series.
To fit any other you have to turn it into a full chassis race car.

Its going to be a Sheety year on Digital Corvette Grumpy....AGAIN.
Those Dodge death Bullets are going to be everywhere.
1000 Hp and nothing in the GM Arsenal to to match & do battle with.

Just a BBC & Pontiac V8.

A fail.
Futile using production and LSX B15 Stock GM crate platform.
Teardown and build with Good Stuff in it.

On Digital Corvette tonight.
Wiz & Me are the Top Mechanics there.

DO NOT RUN STREET RADIAL M+S TIRES WITH 500+ HP.
JUST ASKING TO CRASH & WRECK.
LIKE DRIVING ON ICE WITH THEM.

USE ONLY DRAG RADIAL TIRES OUT BACK OR RACING SLICKS.
MICKEY THOMPSON DRAG RADIALS ARE THE BEST MONEY CAN BUY.

TOO LATE HERE.

What I think happened Grumpy a C5 Corvette is highly dependent upon the Twin Hydroformed Frame Rails.
There is a lack of Crossmembers like a Traditional musclecar has.
Massive in my 1970TA. Welded direct to the Steel main floor pan.

Torsional Twist severe.
Rear steered and got away.
No Drag Radials also.

If you look at the Engineering print skeletal view all rear Torsional wrap up is placed on the Single large crossmember behind the driver.
Absolutely nothing in the middle.
Works for Road Race.
Fails Drag Race power.
