Bbc Spark Plug Wire Selection

Howdy. I am building a 496 BBC with an HEI distributor and hooker 2-1/8 primary headers. The heads are 781’s. I need help selecting spark plug wires that will not hit the headers, and will still work with my HEI distributor. Tell me what y’all think. Thanks.

They are going to be in close proximity or touch the 2-1/8 diameter primary header tubes no matter what you use.
Best option is to use aftermarket race spark plug fire heat protection boots made of Fiberglass or Crushed Lava Rock.

Either use Straight plug wire ends or with 135 degree ends.
Moroso wires are my Favorite but Taylor are excellent.
ACCEL wires Good also.

So I had picked some MSD plug wires with straight boots for a BBC. I guess I could put some of those protectors on them.
Ok.
MSD mat last 1 year or less only.
Not as good as past.
Favor Moroso Race Ignition wires and Taylor 10mm Thundervolt.
Moroso any 8mm ignition race wire Top notch.
My own personal experiences shared.

Get a misfire stop and suspect ignition wires.
Do not beat on the 496 BBC with a cylinder miss. Will do severe damage !
Will consider the moroso wires. They’re less expensive and they have 135* boots. Also, I never drive anything if it’s missing lol so that won’t be a problem.
