Hello, Just bought a 1989 Corvette coupe and love it.
Went to store, bought groceries came home and parked. Got out and hit the lock the doors slide lever. came back later and used key, it turns but won't open door.
anyone know best way to release the lock or open the door? Neither driver nor passenger side lock work with the key.
Id try spraying some wd 40 or similar oil in both locks/key holes as the tumblers may be gunked up
you may need to disconnect the battery neg lead to disable the alarm to get the door open,
and to do that you'll need the hood open

once you get the hood open you might want to install emergency hood release cables, it lets you avoid a lot of aggravation in the future
