1971 Pontiac GTO 455 RPO L-75 325HP & 455Ft/lbs Brought Home

:p
I know, that's how I knew their 455 - wasn't a 455.

I never said any were crappy, I just want one of the better performers out of most 455s. Hell, I really would like a real HO engine, but I have no desire to pay a ridiculous premium when I don't have the original car for that motor.
Ever since the big economic crash of 2007-2009 & with the Demise of Pontiac Motors prices have skyrocketed.
I started when none wanted Pontiacs.
It was a Chevrolet and Mopar Muscle local here along with a few Fords Street Racing.
One family local older than me was Cleaning House beating all Street Racing at night with a 1974 Pontiac GTO.
Ram Air IV Powered transplant, pissed off all.....:p

Number # 66 is on the Head Richard.

Not #15.

You having a bad day today ?
You have the wrong reading glasses today.

I didn't think that was the head number, it doesn't match the spot on the head diagram shown on the other thread. I wouldn't have had such difficult time if someone just pointed to the spot or explained better.

On the 1970 455 Bonneville engine I have, the #15 Is casted in the head the exact same location as my 1971 GTO 455 engine with #66 Heads.

Typically most have 2 digit Cylinder head reference codes on the center exhaust ports of each cylinder head.

The exception is the early Pontiac V8's of 1955-65.
And the 1969-1970-1971-72
Ram Air 400 & 455 HO Round port exhaust engines.
The round ports in this era had 3-digit part numbers casted into the #1 & & # 8 Exhaust ports top side right above the exhaust manifold or headers.

You do know Grumpy that I post answering on the run from my cellphone ?
Richard can always call or text me.

Without a Doubt I have to build my engines alone.
Put up on.my site 1st.

Its pointless to keep posting on my own thread here.
Its not even mine to control as I want.

The 455 Engines, all parts, & my TA Are with me.
Still mine.

You're doing a great job Brian. Many times when someone like you knows something extremely well, details in explaining are left out, not intentionally but rather as an assumption the reader is seeing things as you do.
No detail is too small to leave out if it can avoid a repeat or continued confusion.

I disagree, how you help me will ultimately get to help others in the same manor later. Always remember that on a public forum such as this, you're never talking to an audience of just one.

I am doing answering Tech questions from my phone from before sunrise to often 2-3am.
I answer and post while I am Pissing, taking a shit dump ,
Eating.
Driving down the road.
Chasing my Boys.
Even In bed sometimes.
I don't get paid a Ficken Cent.
Just abuse eventually .

How is it worth it ?

My site I am in control.

Why do put yourself through all that? These posts aren't going anywhere, answer them when it's convenient for you, it's nonsense and irresponsible to text while driving anyway.
Nobody gets paid, you either do it because you want to help others or you want recognition for your knowledge. At least you're not in Grumpy's position and must pay out of pocket while helping others! And lastly, you have to ask yourself what are you doing that invites abuse? Is it something you say, your delivery or your demeanor?

Bill used to say it all comes down to the Street Race at night.
More Hp faster car at the track does not always win.
Its the Driver and the car he built with his own 2 hands.

BOTH YOU GUYS ARE POSTING INFO AND QUESTIONS THAT WILL PROVE VERY HELPFUL TO OTHERS LATER ON
and don,t for a minute think that we don,t appreciate this info
