I don’t feel so bad now for what I paid for my Mohawk 10,000 lb. auto lift. I’ve noticed today BendPak is $5100 free shipping but there‘s a 3.75% fuel surcharge now. Not sure who else has fuel surcharges or how much. The lessor brands are catching up!
Just nosing around to see what they charge for a good adapter to lift a tractor - $3800 for just steal work! You can buy a value priced lift for that much and there’s a hell of a lot more to one of those!!!

My point was to say how everything has gone up so much the things that were so expensive not even 10 yr ago is not looking too bad now.

yeah Ive been researching the prices involved in building a new home & shop,
theres a bunch of very unrealistic prices being quoted.. thats for sure!

Sticker shock is coming!

Only a fool believes to wait and the prices will come down. I’ve never seen a time where the lumber yard announces a price decrease.
Many don’t understand this but I’m praying for a “Real” recession to occur. An economy where many are not spending if they don’t absolutely have to. We need kids to launch out of the nest when they hit 30:rolleyes:. Join the service and get a job that pays the bills - not one that looks like fun!
An economy that puts inventory on store shelves and competition between contractors.

What’s going to be like when the last baby-boomer is gone? Man I hate to generalize things but sometimes there’s just no other way! The millennials, or otherwise - The “Me” generation can’t do much, they‘re looking for instant gradification. Gone are the days for a long term job, build savings and think if they will be able to live through retirement years. They seek rental living, townhomes and condos. They sell so well because they can’t and don’t want to take care of a house and land. The boomers filled the wilderness of Maine with vacation cabins in the hills and shores of the lakes. Aspired to own a house near the beach or hunting lodges in the PA, KY, NY and WV hills. These kids today can’t and don’t want to keep them. Can’t repair them because “dad” is gone.
They ask “What were time shares and holiday resorts!”
Are millennials showing their kids how to hunt or fish? When boomer grandfathers are all gone what stories will the millenials have to tell? What bedtime stories can they read to kids that will be PC? Be sexually ambiguous, can’t say gay? What’s next?
I miss the good ‘O days of 15 years ago!

Time Will soon be going back to the '40s and '50s and there will be lots of death to all who have not believed that the Gov. will not save them.

Bartering will replace money as it will be digital as well as your wallet. Free Enterprise will be gone and the Gov. will tell you what you need, want or to have and you will like it. Or die from restrictions or encarcerated.

Enjoy what you have now as it may not last and I am preparing for the end of the US as we know it now.:sweating:
