2008 Lincoln Navigator Trans Id

I'm having trouble identifying what transmission I have. When I look up the trans filter for my
vehicle it asks which trans I have 6R75 or a 6HP26. For the life of me I can't find definitive info
to decide with. At some point I will want to change the filter and fluid, but it's a sealed system ....
NO Dipstick. Got to figure out a way around this if I'm going to tow a trailer.

The pan has 21 bolts.

I seen it on your list.

Not really sure it is.
Thinking its a 6R75.

The best thing to do is call Ford with the VIN number ready and have the parts guy look it up and confirm.

These Ford and all Makes Manufacturers late model overdrive transmissions 6 - 8 - 10 speeds are famous for internal mechanical and Hydraulic valvebody failures.

This Navigator trans I recall from 1 year back in the auto shop I worked at.
Had the valvebody out and threw it away.
Installed a New Ford valvebody.

That's a nice bit of information on trans ID! ... We should make that a sticky thread!
Thanks Thunderbolt !
