2017 Vette Voice Recognition Software

I own a 2017 Grand Sport and I am having an issue with Voice Phone (Contact Name) recognition. If I say phone it will allow me to speak a telephone number to call but when I say Phone with a contact name it will take me to Destination. Does not recognize any contact names. Almost appears to have lost my contact list. But when I go into phone setup on the info screen is shows my contact list as being there. Any of you had this issue? Do I need to delete the pairing for my iPhone and pair it again? Any other way to fix this?

some where theres an instruction book or video that will point out the key words and features

on my car I can say --
dial 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx
or CALL ...frank, BOB, JACK, etc.
saying Phone gets.... please try again,, not understood

if you say (CALL--its looking for a name on your favorites list-(name)
the soft ware looks on the call list
software can,t recognize (words) it looks for similar frequency & sound shift patterns, and sounds
to match,and acts according to pre set programming
if its like my car, it works only about 70% of the time,
and only if theres no back ground noise or other conversations on the first try,
if my wife tries it, her voice is not recognized , software gets confused and rarely works

yes it does matter if your phone is APPLE or ANDROID
in my experience
APPLE (marginally functional)
or
ANDROID (a bit better but hardly flawless)
