I can't say there's anything wrong, I simply don't drive it much yet to gage. How long do you get out of a carb that sits much of the time?

Typical carb rebuild intervels on my own is every 5-10 years.
If drag racing I rebuild every 1-2 months to check all.

One Q-jet I rebuilt for a friends 1980 Corvette is still going strong 15 years later.

5 year maintainence is what I've been keeping with in the past. Now that gas doesn't last long untreated

Its best to add Stabil for long term storage.
I have had gasoline in the Fuel Tank of my 1963 GP that was 6 months to 2 years old and the car fired up every single time. Never used Stabil in it.
The Olds 403 is not picky with Fuel Quality . Static compression is around 8.0 :1.
