30/06 bar suddenly not shooting tight groups

I purchased a used 30/06 bar at a local gun shop, the first few boxes of ammo shot tight groups but lately the accuracy has deteriorated from an acceptable 1.5" too about 5"-6" 100 yard groups

the first thing Id suggest is a very good bore cleaning and looking for loose scope mounts,
or a defective scope, if you clean the rifle carefully and it still won,t shoot,

ID suggest swapping scopes and if you don,t have the weaver style scope mounts Id suggest swapping to them as they have a good reputation, vs the older kind that allows the rear scope mount to adjust windage on the scope with two screws
it may not be related, but check the replaceable recoil buffer pad condition and replace them if damaged, the browning BAR is gas operated,
and use of slower burning powders does cause extra impact wear issues mandating the pads regular replacement ,
group size tends to get noticeably larger if they are damaged, I doubt this is related but certainly for the under $4 or so they cost replacing one won,t hurt.
personally Id suspect the scope mounts need to be replaced,
