400ci small block fuellie heads which cams should be used

I use Moly Lube too building engines.
But Use the Moly from Isky Cams.
Use Clevite Bearing guard on main and rod bearings.
What I do different from Grumpy.
No issues ever.

Yep

Hopefully it is as easy to use as I hope it is....
Camshaft is still in the US...( export facility....)

Wants some Cam Manager files and Port Flow files? I have 30 CM files and 20 PF files.

Not sure what I'm talking about, then open DS5 and click on the the white button for "Port Flow" and "CamManager".

Captains log.
None of the shells fit...
Back to the drawing board and grounding to -0.010 ( mains) and-0.020 journals.
Oh great joy ..

Always good to measure with Micrometers the crank journals beforehand.
And use a Bearing micrometer to check bearing shell thickness.
You can buy the snap om magnetic ball anvil for your 0-1 inch micrometer seperate.
What I did.

We have measured them at least 10 times...
Seems the book/ manual we have has the wrong dimensions in it....
Ordered new shells and will have the whole thing ground.

Captain's log...
Still waiting on the bearings to arrive...
And the guys from dynosim send me dyno dragster or something...instead of dyno sym 5.
Mailed them about it.... no response...
All other parts have arrived though.
.....more to come deadline near for the students

GOOD news

All new bearings are here. Crank allready in machine shop.
If I ask them nicely they'll put mine on top of the pile ( I hope)

More to come...

That is good news!

Will the students make it, not sure how much longer they can wait??? When is the end of the class?

Just because jou must have something on the subject...
