427 FE C6 combo gear ratio recommendations

Hello everyone. Y’all may remember me as Ghost Torino GT. I been trying to get into my account but couldn’t. I decided to make a new one. My last post was on 460 Tunnel ram. I never built that engine because I cam across my dream engine. A 427 FE. I managed to get my hands on a tri-power intake and two C6 transmissions. Now I’m going to make a post on the 427 tri-power set up later. I wise up since I I made the 460 tunnel ram thread. I do want my Torino to be great performance car. But not to the insane level I once dreamed of. I want to upgrade my C6 transmission with better gear set. But what’s the best rear gear ratio to use?

1968 Torino GT fast back.

I guess that depends on what you want to do? What engine specs you have? What rear gear ratio you have have?

If you know just a little bit about Excel, then you can modify this spreadsheet to reflect your C6 trans. You will have to go to the "Review" tab and "Unprotect Sheet", there is no password. Or if you want to give me the C6 ratios, I can make the changes for you.

I have a book of C6 transmissions somewhere. It had fords factory torque converter RPM. The 427 FE was noted to be around 1800 or 1900 RPM stall. I was thinking of using that. I plan to use a wide ratio TMI gear set.

whats the car actually weigh?
whats the measured tire height/diameter?
what rear gear are you intending to run?
whats your intended gear ratios, and whats the engine compression ratio?
