496ci revamped

Well from what I've seen most stock lower pulleys are 6 7/8" dia , so it should work right?
Take a look at BLP Bolaws.
They make Racing Hard Anodized V-belt pulleys. Kinda Pricey.
There is CV Racing products.
Them Moroso Racing products.
Cost alot more than Offshore china.
Meant For 8000-1000 rpm Dirt track race engines, High end Drag Racing & Road Racing.

They do make WP shims to move the pulley out, see link below. Then make some alternator
spacers 1/4 inch thicker. Bingo-Bango !!!

Spacers are .060, .090 and .120 ..... - $7.99

I thought you said the balancer pulley stuck out an additional 1/4 inch ???
Yes, sorry Rick I looked at it wrong, was thinking of it as a shim for lower pulley.

But that won't work either, .250 will put water pump nose locator to far out,
To capture water pump pulley (you know the dowel like pilot pin on the nose) if was a 1/8" I could getaway with it.

I have always known that when you change one thing it affects 2 or more things. Why not call the company you bought the belt system from and ask about a matched pulley set for that engine. Worth a try? AYE!!!

Looked on Summit Racing.
Found nothing that will work.

Has to be custom made.
One off Protype machined up.

Or scap all and use a custom accesory Drive Kit.
BLP Bo Laws sells them.
That route will be expensive.

Another option is to find A Factory Lower Crankshaft Pulley that will work.
Like from a 1965 to 1974 396- 427 - 454 Corvette.
Be hard to find likely.

Got some 1/4 inch plate? Make 2 spacers to go between the water pump and block. Or buy some.

Could try using a short BBC Water Pump Cranshaft Pulley.
Space it out.

Got to be carefull.
A crank pulley that breaks is just like a Bomb.

About 20 years ago My best Bob and me were Street Racing.
The Pontiac 455 in my 63 Grand Prix was screaming at 6500 Rpms.
Tripower Roaring.
Moving 130mph.
Got ahead of Bob in his tiny SHELVY VNT TURBO.
Heard a loud boom.
Lost Power steering.
Looked in the rear view mirror and something large steel sparks off the road was bouncing at high speeds at Bob.
I watched.
The Crank pulley went over his car.
Hit a Semi Truck behind.
Then bounced into the next lanes across the highway.

Why must everything simple be turned into something difficult?
And why are people stopped dead in their tracks if an aftermarket bolt-on part doesn't exist?

MACHINE 1/4" from the damper's hub. Too easy.
