this video, is rather helpful as it points out the benefits of headers on your engine,
over even excellent cast exhaust manifolds, which are, in the version he tested, exceptionally well designed on the hemi.
I have to point out that most cars will have a comparatively restrictive exhaust system and mufflers,
that would result in a drop in power from both exhaust manifolds or headers.
Id also point out that a properly built BBC of similar displacement (I'm thinking a 502- 540 displacement BBC)
could even would produce similar or better power numbers
and at similar or lower parts cost.
I really like building and modifying the first and second gen hemis,
but have to admit recent technology improvements in BBC heads, blocks and cams especially
have leveled the playing field from the original differences between the hemis,
and the BBC builds at least when your not using nitromethane.
and yes I'm well aware there are better versions of the second gen hemi cylinder heads available also,
and since we don't know the cam, or compression the hemis being run with its not nearly a direct comparison,
and yes adding stack injection or a properly tuned tunnel ram intake to either a BBC or a HEMI boosts power

a different hemi dyno,
not much data or info, but the change in headers provide a noticeable change in the power curve,
thats hardly rare, I've seen a 20 ft lbs change in torque with just a change in the collector diam. and length.
