56 desoto

desoto owner

well I'm an old fart who over the years has overhauled many engines, ford, chevy, buick, and a few imports but not a hemi. But out of necessity I find myself working on a 56 desoto 330. The original damaged by feezing. I have found and purchased another engine, while it's disassembled it appears to be mostly there. The block on the replacement has been hot tanked and has new cam bearings. The crank has been turned .010 on the rods and .020 on the mains. Sadly the original engine only had 48,000 miles on it and I've know the car for more than 50 yrs. It has sat untouched for about the last 20 yrs in southern CA. My hope is to use parts from both engines to build a basically stock engine. The budget is tight so any advice and or tips would be greatly appreciated.
