while impressive enough you or anyone else with decent mechanical skills and experience,
can turbo charge many of the more common performance,
big block ford, chevy or mopar or chevy LS engines and make considerably more power .
over head cams , and 10,k engine rpms speeds , in the imports are impressive but it almost always comes down to
HOW MUCH TIME AND MONEY DO YOU HAVE TO WORK WITH,
WHATS THE BEST WAY TO MAXIMIZE YOUR,
POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO, and ENGINE DISPLACEMENT
and adding a inter-cooled turbo sure won,t hurt much either

example
my brother-in-laws A.C.Cobra , with a sbf that I doubt produces more than 330 hp
but because the cars fairly light weight and the suspensions effectively getting the power to the pavement
the cars fun to drive and in its current condition probably runs low 12's
I could rather easily get it in the low 11 seconds range but as with most things it costs money and time to do it,
it could be much faster if he let me build a 500 cubic inc big block

I have driven Ford Cobra Replica 1966.
302 Ci Tripower T-5 5-speed.
Power to weight ratio is impressive .
I didn't drag Race it meaning I didn't launch it hard dumping the clutch at 4000 rpm from a dead stop and power shifting at Redline tapping the clutch like Ronnie Sox or Arnie Beswick.
Did take it to 95 mph in town with the owner riding shotgun.
I tuned the Tripower 3X2 Holleys.
Rejetted all.
Owner wanted to run it hard .
Most cant handle in truth
Tires want to spin easy even at 50-60 mph.

Cobras are not that affordable for most.
Many would not fit in comfortable.
Very small cockpit.
 
Can't change what has happened in Corvette world.
Guys are broke.
Budget builds are in.
Turbocharging is in.
Turbocharging requires extreme one off fab work typical.
A shop doing the work for you expect to pay $10,000-15,000 labor cash.
 
The C4 Corvette needs a Revival.
Best bang for the dollars spent.
C3 builds have left many broke.
Stagnant projects in Limbo
 
Turbo charging Adds Torque.
The camshaft chosen still dictates Rpm Mean Power band.
