9 second hellcat run

930 horsepower and it isnt the one that went 9.94 the other day... those cars are too damn heavy for their own good

Making these car lighter would defeat the very purpose why Dodge makes them.

Since I don't have a Dodge connection I'll have to wait. I'm not paying any dealer markup or Federal Guzzler tax.

Are these times on street or drag radials?

What type of rear comes with a Hellcat?

There is a Special built Rear for the Hellcats.
Not shared with the standard Challangers or Chargers.
Its bigger and beefier.
Bullet proof so far.
Its independent rear suspension as a Corvette has.

5,000 Hellcats sold so far.
Exceeded expected sales so far.

9,000 C7 Z06 Built and sold.

The boss told me Friday that Z06 Corvettes are experiencing castrophic engine failures nationwide daily.
All 9,000 built are potential bombs to blow up.
I researched....Metal chip shavings left from block machine work at fault.
Also defective oil pumps.
Also Valvetrain failures.
None ever talked about Digital Corvette.
All Mods had to of known issues.
The mechanic me that loves drag racing took abuse for Z06 Failure.
Not my doing. at all.

Boss also said no Hellcats have blown up.

Z06 Issues all over the Net.
Z06 Forum.
GM INSIDE WEBSITE .
I READ ALL.

So far there are almost Zero performance parts made for the Hellcat cars.
Just Cat back exhaust systems.
I researched on the MOPAR & Hellcat forums.
Just 2 or 3 guys have cracked the license code for the Hellcat ECM Computer .
All that is going to change in October 2015.
There is a Hellcat Race Tuning Seminar in Florida in a few weeks.
Race Tuners nationwide are signed up to be there.
My Boss included.

The Hellcats use a Rear Differential Gearset that is 2.69 :1.
From what I have seen the Powerband is very similar to a Pontiac 455 engine.
Final Drive Ring & Pinion Gears of 3.55 -4.56 :1 will wake up the Hellcats Tremendous.

the hellcat makes too much power for a 4.56 gear i think brian... a 3.55 or 3.73 on a 28" tire would be the hot tick to pull thru the fat long torque curve i think... then again ive never had 900hp so its only an educated guess

That Fatass pig never shifts over 6,200 RPM.

Back in the day it took a 3.55 gear to get in 5.0 Mustang into the Deep 8's.
I know because I built many for the Chicago 5.0 Racers.

MPH Is good but not outstanding in the Hellcat.
3.90 -4.10 be the gears to try 1st with 28 tall tires.

I never seen a perfect drag race rear diff chart or calculator.
The Main unknown factor is Actual intake port Velocity .
And Rear Tire Growth in + inches taller above 100 mph.

1400 HP In a 2800- 3200 lb race weight with driver and fuel & 3,55 gears netted 160 + mph trap speeds in A Fox Body 5.0 Stang.
