Heres a low dollar third gen Z28 build thats worth watching just for the mistakes made,
not thinking through the total combo, just buying parts and slapping them together...
even good parts if the total combo does not match well....
is always going to bring on less than impressive results.
they removed the TPI (that could be good or bad) they swapped the ignition,
but only added a fuel pressure regulator to the original fuel system, too feed the carb.
the car came with a 150hp 305 sbc, they pulled it out and replaced it, the original engine , was not producing nearly what they were trying to get too.
with a low compression used 350, engine as a base,
they added decent aluminum trickflow 195cc heads,
(easily capable of 450 hp, if properly matched to the correct combo of parts)
, and added roller rockers, and a decent dual plane carb intake,(all good parts)
but restricted the air flow with a 600 cfm carb (should have been a 700-750 cfm)
a mild, un-known (probably almost stock flat tappet cam)
and added a 150 hp wet nitrous system set up to deliver 100 hp,
the result was 294 hp. thats nearly double the original power ,
but they left soo much more on the table....
now keep in mind the car had zero mention of headers or exhaust mods,

and the 3rd gen camaro is known to have a restrictive exhaust on even the stock cars.
if the correct, larger dual exhaust,
low restriction exhaust and headers and performance
cam timing, and lift too take full advantage of the potential head and intake flow rates, was used, in a 10:1 compression 350, combo,
this would un-doubt-ably been more effective.

trying to get good power with no proper cam, duration and lift, use of a
low compression, short block, a small restrictive carb,
and a very restricted exhaust ,
is like trying to run a marathon with your mouth duct taped shut,
and shoe laces from both shoes tied together

for the guys who don,t know third gen cars came with a 2.25" or 2" single exhaust, that strangles performance.
