Ac Compressor Replacement (someone Please Answer)

For about 4 years while working that crazy schedule at the school 3AM to 3PM 7 days a week most of the time on 2-3 hours of sleep if I was lucky I took a week for Deer Hunting and the guys down at camp asked me if I ever slept LOL It did put me in the hospital and 7 heart attacks later and crazy blood pressure that I can't take meds for here I am alive and on keyboard giving it hell still. My latest adventure a couple weeks ago I got hit by a truck on my bike #5 for me I came out OK but my Harley was DOA I'm waiting for them to make a decision 20 years old and not a scratch on it and now they want to total it
 
OMG Ray! How can you total a big bike and come out ok? Thank God for that! It’s nuts on the road with a bike and what is in the minds of the car or truck drivers when or “IF” they even see you? It’s common to see car drivers to turn out onto a main road from a side street with a rolling stop - or not even stop at all! My favorite are drivers that are there when you are making a left turn onto a side road and they are coming out of that same road AND they want to make a left BEFORE YOU. They stop short of making the left but they are blocking you, you are in the process of making the left turn and you got a car coming straight from the opposite direction and he wants to play “chicken!”

I could never ride in this hot and humid weather. You should be wearing at least some gear that cuts down the injuries should you have to lay the bike down and ski the gravel. I can’t wear heavy jeans, boots, gloves and jacket when it’s 95 degrees, 80% humidity and on a hot bike in traffic with full sun. I’ll just wait ‘til fall.
 
The knees, what can I say. I stopped the therapy the way they were doing it. They were forcing me, I was in so much pain I could hardly get out to my car when the 50 minutes were over. Then they insisted I had to do these stretches and exercises every hour all day long. I was eating Oxy like peez candy, running out before I could get more and that was a nightmare all it’s own!
If you just do what you can do, walking around, climbing up and down steps and getting up and down from a seat during the day you will get the needed range of motion, it just takes longer. In Europe they don’t have you in therapy like here, their health care doesn’t afford that service. They just do as I’m doing now.

I’m ok, it’s getting better in small increments. Standing an hour or more causes the most pain. I hope when it starts cooling off this fall I’ll be more active and will really improve. Hey, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
 
Talked to the Insurance adjuster this AM I'm going to fix my bike myself they wrte me a check for damages
 
Who do you have bike insurance through? I have a branch of Grundys, Capital mutual. They pay fast, easy and cheap. I had loads of recommendations for them. They give you a module for your bike or any vehicle and it lets them know automatically (depending on how you set up the program) when and how often you ride/drive so they adjust your coverage. Example: if you set recreational use mode and you haven’t used your bike in 3 weeks (let’s say) the insurance switches to just Lost coverage and not the collision or liability that is a significant portion of your bill. If you normally store your bike or car for the bad season but for some reason take it out for a day in February you have full coverage that day or whatever your use was.
 
I have Erie they paid for damages but I was looking yesterday and there is not a front rim for my bike in the USA
 
Ray, Send me the specs for that front rim. My wife’s nephew is a parts manager for the HD museum services in York, PA. From what I hear, He can find anything HD.
 
Rich the bike is a 2002 Harley Softail Deuce it is a 21 inch rim but the width is I think 2.75 I would even take a bare rim and lace it to the hub myself
 
Got it. I just talked to him, he said it shouldn’t be any problem. When he gets back to the office on Thursday he’ll have access to the HD supply portal. There was something else he said to ask you, but I was interrupted - I catch him tomorrow.
 
Ray, there are several front 21” 2.75” or 2.875” standard wire wheels, standard hub available. He hung up before giving me a price. I’m waiting for him to call or message me.
 
I will have to take the tire off the rim and measure the inside width the outside is 3 inches but that doesn't tell me anything
