I have a set of the AFR 195cc heads on a 415 ci;9.5 to 1 pump gas motor,Crane hydraulic roller#119691 .585 .595 lift w/1.6 ratio :234/242 dur. Will the flow of the heads be restricted by the port size of the dual dual plane intake.Motor uses an Edelbrock Quadrajet #1910 (850 cfm) carb also. Will the Edelbrock performer rpm air-gap (smaller port volume) support this stroker with these heads. Or do I need to get an old school larger port Holley intake 300-36 (idle to 7200 rpm) or weiand #8016 that had larger ports.Maybe the new hi velocity intakes rule the intake hog stroker. Will an off the shelf Air gap intake support a 550 hp motor.Jr

the newer rpm air gap intake has a more effective runner design, keep in mind that while plenum and runner volume are important the weak link is frequently the smallest cross sectional area point in the runner and port, that limits your port stall.
and while a RPM AIR GAP is an excellent intake, and I,m sure 550hp is within its capability range, but with that displacement and cam your unlikely to be spending much time running below about 3500rpm,where a dual plane has a huge advantage, because, the cams power range, is 3000rpm plus, so obviously your going to need to gear the car accordingly, and operate mostly in the 3000rpm-6500rpm band
if I was building that combo I might be tempted to use this intake, (probably with a adapter spacer)

simply because of past success, using it on similar builds
