hello guys

I have a pontiac firebird with a 3 speed trans in the workshop.
Deoending on who drives the car, we have a judder in the clutch.
Having gone trough your long list of threads....
A shortcut would help...
The " judder" only occurs when you engage the pedal at a certain speed at the very end of its travel...
Any help is greatly appreciated

Its all new stuff...
Only at really low revs...
You can actually see the bearing do a little " woble " when the clutch pefal is fully pressed in...
On our vintage cars the bearing guide and release bearing should have only very little clearance. 003"
In this instance we have 023"
Is that a cause?

Today, we had the flywheel in the lathe ( one we calibrate to 0.01mm) and that had 0.02mm woble. So we thought that was ok.
The flywheel flange had 0.2mm , which when we filled of the high spots we bought bach to 0.015mm.
The bell housing is flat at the engine side but has a high spot which ( 0.1mm) we will plane flat...
We spun 3 different types of plates, chose the one with the least wobble, did the same with the pressure plate..
Still worrying about the 0.4mm of clearance between guide tube and release bearing

Good morning.
After we machined the bell housing, trued up the flywheel , added diamter to to the bearing guide,
Made excentric dowels, tested several plates for run out, tested the pressure plate for true and equal pressure....
We finally got the best mechanical clutch ever!!!
