Any experience with MSD 6 AL-2 Progammable box?

They used to make a Shorter Height Vertex OAC Magneto.
I have not seen one listed in many years watching.
Recall from Vintage Vertex Magneto Catalogs too.

Not sure how but think mechanical advance in lower base was maybe deleted.
Straight drive no advance I suspect.

Really want the mechanical advance on the street.
 
A friend of me works professionally on british oldtimers, They use a small wiper mechanism and you have different postions for the wiper motor. Maybe this will work on the 55. If so the wiper motor would be behind the dashboard inside the car. With a mechanism like this the Distributor could be 14" in height ;)
