anyone got ideas on where to get a set of replacement pulleys for a 1974 big block corvette to allow use of a cog belt to drive the accessory's like the water pump, alternator, power steering etc.
my bother in law would really like to go that route (mostly for LOOKS but also to eliminate the belt slipping as belts that occasionally squeal make him rather nuts.
any info , you might have on conversion kits, suppliers ,or parts available, pulleys, belts, even if only loosely related to cog belt drives would be useful.

Big Block Chevy Gilmer Belt Pulley Kit

For sale is a brand new big block Chevy 396 427 454 belt drive and pulley kit. Kit includes 40.5" long belt, billet aluminum water pump and crank pulleys, plus chrome alternator pulley (bolt-on type). For use with long or short style water pumps with up to a 5/8" shaft.

Cogged 1 1/2" wide "Gilmer" style belt prevents slippage. Water pump and crank pulleys are a 1:1 ratio. Alternator pulley has outside lips to help keep belt aligned. Crank pulley has V-belt groove that can be used to run power steering. Requires a good top mount alternator bracket, stock or flimsy brackets will not work. Will not work with A/C equipped vehicles.

heres a set-up thats cheap enough but I don,t know if it will work until I call and ask a few questions

I am not 100 % positive about Big Block Chevy Cogged Belt drive applications Grumpy,
But for Small Block Chevy applications, especially circle dirt track Unlimited Late Model the best choices are from CV Racing products & BLP- Bo Laws in Florida.
Its still a small shop operation with BLP Bo Laws. They custom make what you want. They are the best at what they do so it does cost $.
Top of my head, custom cogged set of Pulleys for Crank & drive accessories for a BBC are going to run around $600 to $1K.

I had BLP Bo Laws make a Pro Flow 850 HP series square bore Holley that flows 1,085 cfms for my 410 about 1-1/2 years ago.
Work was top notch. Build sheet included, wasn't free. But wanted 100% USA made & best I could have. Plenty of side jobs going on so I could pay for cash.
My answer came to BLP in Florida like where you are too Grumpy.
