Ive got a good friend building a serious race car that wants to fabricate a rear deck spoiler that can be adjusted , hes looking for a 72" long 10"-15" wide section of helicopter rotor wing to fabricate the rear spoiler from, obviously price and availability are considerations here but if you have access to a damaged rotor wing blade that has at least that much semi useable length left in your inventory dirt cheap hes most willing to re-purpose the material for his race car.

i asked around at fire and police in the aviation units and they looked at me like i wanted nuclear launch codes lol i told them i just needed over six feet of scrap rotor and they were in shock like i was setting them up for a sting.. apparently the county isnt a good place to ask for scrap metal.

ill talk to my buddy that works at tamiami airport this weekend and put him on the hunt.

Heheheheh. That's just awesome. I know a couple of AF guys but that's a looooong shot

while you may not appreciate the trend its rather obvious some guys adding pronounced at least semi-functional rather that the previously ,totally decorative rear spoilers is currently a trend thats going on. and yes if properly installed and designed they can provide a noticeable increase in high speed down force.

Those race spoilers are popular with mega fast street car drag racers also.
6-7-8 second ET cars.

yep... dont care if it adds 25hp. not doin it. really genuinely do not like that look on a car. couple factory exceptions to my rule, but generally im not a fan of winging it.
