are you going about solving the potential issues your facing logically

interesting buick muscle car build
It's Ok Grumpy.
Interesting.
Not so sure of claimed horsepower.
He drives and short shifts.
Heard 5,000-5500 Rpm max.
Using the 455-462 as a big torque engine.
You can tell how powerful they are in 3rd & 4th.
Seemed to be in control too much.
Guy is not a Drag Racer by any means.
Heard him say Pro Tour and almost shut it off the vid.
Claims it has a,Winters quick change rear diff.

Maybe has 400 cfm heads.
Hard to tell.
Sounds good.
Roller cam. Maybe 75 degrees overlap.
Idles to nice .
No Race cam.
Runs too clean down slow too.

Lacking throttle response I expect.
Maybe just the driver.

I would put two bucket seats in, 4 or 5 point race seat belts, roll cage, locked rear, 4 or 5 speed manual, a good balanced high revving small block or one with blower. Big & little tires. Clean the body, remove rust but save the patina if there is one. No new paint, only if there is no old paint. Good suspension for auto cross or similar, like the Buick muscle. No door panels etc. or thin aluminium panels. No fancy power windows or so, no AC. Custom dashboard with performance gauges, Tachometer, Speedo, AFR, Fuel, Oil pressure and temperature, water temp, maybe exhaust temp (pyrometer), vacuum / boost if there is a blower. Good wiring harness with fuse panel. Manual steering. Good disc brakes all four corners. Good exhaust system with X or H pipe and cut outs, maybe stainless.

They are supposed to be Violent.
Punch it and the Ass end swings out and tires burning on fire.
Buick was just Ok.
Looking at a $200,000 - 300,000 Pro Tour build. All Carbon Fiber.
Rear quarters are carbon fiber.
Claimed horsepower of 780.
Don't look like it to me.
About 450-475 Hp only what I see.
Rich mans car.
Under performs.

The 572 BBC Corvette could be Violent.

The 1979 Trans Am with a Trans Planted RAM AIR 4 400ci Engine is the most Violent.
That is actually how they run balls out hitting the gas.
Super Throttle response.
Heads flow excellent.
Super Port Velocity present at all times.

Grumpys Perfomance....
No Pro Tour in the Title there.

I Like The Phrase RACE CAR PUT ON THE STREET.
Pro Touring lost the Street Race.

When My Bud Bill was alive with his 572 Ci BBC Corvette he never called my 1970 Trans Am a Pro Tour Car.
I never called hos Corvette Pro Tour.
It was around back then pro tour.
We thought it was stupid back then too.

We Called them RACE CARS.
Street Racing.
