For Pennsylvania hunters, it’s also the time when I find defiant trespassing at the rear of my land and some even kayak up the stream. My house was occupied by the builder and his family for about 6 months and that was a year before I bought it. He used to give “permission” to certain guys to hunt on the property even after he no longer owned the place.
Anyway, by law and the homeowner insurance policy, it’s time once again to post the property. I went out to the hardware store today and they were out of signs, but hold on - homeowners in PA don’t need signs to say “F - off” anymore, just a case of Purple paint. Painting trees with a noticeable wide band of Purple is sufficient notice that no hunting.

That paint don't mean squat to a lot of people some people can't be told to stay off your land they think that they have the right to hunt anywhere and if they had permission once 40 years ago they think that its a lifetime permit to hunt there forever I could write a book on some of the things I've seen over the years of hunting on private land in Pa. we have 300 acres of prime land in Greene county and every year theres another chapter in the book my buddy actually shot into a tree this one idiot was standing against about 3 inches above his head I tell the ones that I catch to leave the property before they see the landowner because they don't want to see him they will drive around locked gates blocked roads and the signs mean nothing so good luck with the idiots this year Rich and I will be out next weekend LOL
