basic idea that's helped several members and may help more

I spent a few minutes diagnosing a members corvette, that requested I not mention his name
he could not get the car started .. and as usual it came down to simply and logically checking the basics
, in this case a blown fuse and loose and corroded,battery connection ,
he had started the diagnoses fully convinced the fuel pump was defective ,
as turning the ignition key resulted in zero fuel rail pressure,
but as soon as you tested you found a blown fuse,
Charged him, a couple cups of coffee and a cinnamon donut,
, once we got the car up and running for my experience,
and showed him how to pull codes and use a multi meter... he made out OK!
