Big Block C10

So we are taking a 540ci bbc with a hot cam and we were gonna put this 1150cfm FAST 2.0 throttle body on it and mate it to a built 400 trans with an od unit bolted in the place of the tailshaft housing. This build is gonna be radical. It came to us in a great many pieces on many pallets and took a flatbed several trips of back and forth to get everything in our shop and we are finally starting to move forward on the job. The customer has meticulously collected specific parts for his dream over a long period of time. We are fortunate enough to have been chosen to help this person realize his dream. So we have sent out the dart big M block with all the internals and the AFR 325 heads. I love those heads, BTW. I mean just look at these exhaust ports..

That port is huge. Perfect for a pickup truck. Here are a few better shots of the long block with the dual plane air gap intake and the msd distributor installed..

The truck once was and at some point in the near future will once again be a 1968 Chevrolet C10. We currently have a rolling chassis..

The cab is at the body shop as with the fenders and stuff. So for now we are just worried with getting the powertrain together and in the chassis. And we will work on the bed and the cab when we get body parts. I live for these ground up builds. I will post up pictures as the job progresses.

Are your plans to keep the stock front suspension or are you going to replace it with a tubular A-ARM system.

obviously a great deal of cash spent already and the engines sure to produce impressive power,
\ now its all most all dependent on mating it to the correct suspension, a roll cage,
matched drive train gearing and getting the weight distribution correctly set up.
and keeping the total weight rather low, along with reducing aerodynamic drag,
adding great tires and brakes, and use of a good cooling and lubrication system

It just takes lots of money and time as he said he lives for it!! I have a headache just thinking about doing a big project like that again.

Yesterday I finished the dyno tuning on the GTO and before we get back on this blown 2011 GS I got to get the powertrain together and in the frame of this C10. We also moved the bed thou it is not any where near mounted..

Monday morning I get back on the red GS because that is my racing buddy and we want to go racing again this friday at test n tune at PBIR. So it might be a few days before I get back on this.

That's right. Gear vendors over/under drive. comes with 6 speed badges to stick on the dash or toss in the garbage.

I never do free advertising for anything. The less people know, the better off you are.
Why pay for anything that promotes a business /product that won;t pay you to do it.
That's why I don't buy anything with a logo imprinted on it. Or if it does, I tear /scrape/peel it off.
If someone wants to know what you've got, make 'em pay to look.

We tend to shy away from the badges ourselves but for a different reason. We leave the stickers off because they never seem to wear nice and by the first or second oil change they are fraying around the edges, fading, or peeling and making the car look ugly. We got to do some stuff to a 1970 C10 a few years back. We got to install a full suspension kit with panhard bar, build some cool side pipe - like exhaust and change every light fixture for LED and build a instrument panel and do a bunch of wiring and some light motor work. There are picture from that job on our website, here: http://www.corvette-performance-expert.com/chevrolet-c10.html#gallery[pageGallery]/8/

I cant wait to see how this is gonna look together.

That depends on what you have and what you need. Serious inquiries should just call the number in the above picture from post #2 and talk to Tony.

wow! Id bet that accessory bracket and belt route kit was priced at wallet rupturing and tear causing levels
