Tired of all the marketing hype, try reading the edge codes !

Want to do a deep dive and check out the pads to see if they are counterfeit .....

I feel your pain, they just want to dazzle you with the marketing hype!

Maybe an email/phone call to the manufacture might get some results if you have a few part numbers in mind. I read in one of those links that the material can change from pad to pad even in the same line. So I would include a part number to narrow it down. Or maybe an email to Summit would get someone to look and maybe shoot you a photo of the codes.

I absolutely was on this search last night for 6 hours trying to find the replacement pads for a pair of SSBC Force 10 four piston big brake calipers for my corvettes front axl . I read the same arrivals above my search . I know I have the FF coefficient grade other then that nothing matched any thing . I have determined that I need a set of FSMI code D-531 Dr Google upon that entry specified EBC’s yellow stuff ( of which was on my list , but I read that you can scoop up the brake dust with a shovel after a spirited Saturday night . ) I really like the Dynamic Friction semi - metallic pads because three people I know whom track their C4 on them . But one guy is a Brembo user, the other two are on the bowling Green J55 rpo calipers ( which my car has also ) SSBC is under new ownership the product is discontinued and frankly after emailing the actual new boss for a set of new Top keeper retainers with no avail I’m not trying to re kindle our email thread to be passed to his right hand man Tim whom still has not sent the keepers ! Lol . Does anyone know how to shop D-531 pads ? Please enlighten me or suggestion of product on these pads would be warmly received !!! My two cents on the edge code and back plate code defining lol
GOD bless ,
Robert

IndyCars,
I really appreciate this I’m gonna see if it comes up with anything . I did find an old SSBC pdf with their part# cross referenced with The FSM # that lists D531 as the off the shelf replacement as I mentioned. I did further research and did Make a visual match with a NAPA back plate and pad . I at least know I can get a fresh set from them . The D531 OEM match is to off all things a 90-95 Dodge Stealth , while the calipers are purpose made for The 94-95 Corvettes . It seems that the pads are got the stealth . I looked through their pad options and again only the Napa Pads have the matching holes for the two Caliper pins . So I have that option at Napa , whom offer a semi metallic and a Ceramic . I’m going to use your info right now and I shall post the results . Thanks again you are the man .
GOD bless ,
Robert

It would be easy to put that very long page into an Excel spreadsheet if that will help. Then you could sort or search on several columns at the same time.
