I have noticed the parts stores worm gear hose clamps are not what they used to be for quality.
Can strip out easy.
1 day fail without notice.
Frustrating issue.

Fixed a cooling system leak on my Pontiac early today, thought the 4 year old Griffin radiator failed.
Loose worm gear Hose clamp found spraying coolant driving at high speeds.

They are pricey each but the very best I know from the Diesel engine world.
They maintain torque you set them at.
Short of -16 & -2+ AN stainless braided radiator hoses think best alternative to the Worm gear Hose clamps.
Not pretty but perfect for a 100% driver and need fully reliable Zero failures desired.

#262 .
Size range is 1-3/4" - 2-5/8".
They hold tight like a True KURT Machinist Milling machine Vise.

Have Constant Torque Hose clamps on the lower radiator Hose. Got them from past Semi truck diesel engine repairs. We installed New Hose clamps always on Full engine overhauls, I took the old ones home and cleaned up.

Gotta get them today.
Coolant leak on the 1963 Gp 455 Flying at 110-130 mph speeds on Highways a disaster.

Early Pontiac V8 389 & 421 and some early Pontiac 455 1970 year used a 2.000" inch Thermostat hose size housing.
Later Years used 1-3/4" like Chevrolet did most often.
Have a 1964 Pontiac 389 T-stat housing on the 520 Hp 455, 2.000" hose size.

Napa had the Constant Torque Hose clamps bought 2 for the upper radiator hose.
1 gallon of Premix Peak Final Charge Antifreeze made for Diesel Semi Truck Road use good for 2 million miles.
Little shopping for around the house farm.
Gas in the Chevy Tahoe Vortech 350 4x4
$100 spent.
Man everything is Super Expensive now.
Only Car related low cost now is E85 local. $2.30 per gallon.
93 octane is $3.90 a gallon.
Many say $10 per gallon gas coming soon.
