you don,t build a 13.5:1 compression, super charged engine designed for alcohol , and dump a 80% nitro fuel mix in it,
thats just having no idea about the different pressure curves and burn characteristics, if it was an 8:1 compression engine,
with a super charger and he dumped that nitro fuel it may have allowed the engine to survive a few runs making killer power

He learned the hard way.
5:1 to 6:1 static is typical for supercharged nitro.
 
I am sure he found out the MSD Buzz Box was worthless for Nitro use too Grumpy.
A single ignition misfire on Nitro & the engine goes Kaboom.
You can only trust a Magneto for Nitro lightoff needs.
