I got asked how you calculate the pattern to cut the sheet metal where the roll cage tubes penetrate thru the body sheet metal like in the trunk and firewall, well this should help, obviously the smaller axis in the drawing (C-D) is the outer pipe diameter, and the longer axis changes with the angle of the roll bar, youll want to place a piece of card board on a sheet of plywood to make the pattern, then use the cardboard pattern after you cut it out with scissors and some spray paint and careful measuring to locate the pattern on the fire wall before cutting the sheet metal
