XQIZT said:I've had to replace both headlight motors in the '85. The driver side rotates correctly, but the passenger side rotates opposite of what the headlight switch indicates. It rotates open when it should be closed, BUT the light itself turns on correctly with the switch. As far as I know, the wiring is original. The relays have been replaced, but I don't mind doing it again if it'll solve the problem.
I pulled the passenger motor out and rotated it 180* and reinstalled, but it still works in reverse of the switch.
Thoughts?

Do not try switching wires around.
The wiring will burn back & catch on fire.
Take apart the headlight motor yourself.
You can do it.
Photograph & post for me.
I will help you step by step to repair it.
The Ceramic permanent magnets came unglued.
Or the last guy mixed up the North & South Magnet Poles.
Correct orientation dictates headlght motor rotation.
