C4 problems..

Hello everyone, I've been gone for a while, I have a 1989 corvette, that had a water leak that turned out to be hard to locate, turns out that for all of us pre-optispark c4s(prone to weep hole leaks from the pump), my leak was from a failed bearing in my pump, which in turn gave me a series of worsening overheats, although I parked immediately, my car easily was exceeding 280-300 range. I towed my car home and parked it, time and money dried up due to an ugly divorce,( she tried to get my Vette.lol..fail) any way, the car has sat for almost 2yrs. and I finally get around to changing out for a new pump, everything went in with ease and took about an hour or so to put back together, I went to fire her up, and, and, and..crank no start,,damn! I will finish this story tomorrow,,,

Hell, just give it to me and I'll sell it to Grumpy and you won't have to worry about money, lawyers or a wife.:eek:;);):D:D

I offered to help him diagnose and if needed repair the corvette,
if hes willing to get it towed over here!
I hate working without access to the tools required.

Im so sorry guys. This is way to late. Anyways. I managed to get it started. An old grumpy friend of mine came over and we pulled the plugs and ..oh boy. Youve never seen plugs so fouled in your life. Any hoo. I managed to get her started after he left and ran like shit and boom, water dumped all over the ground. The water looked like chocolate milk...not good. The water literally emptied onto the driveway. As he said above being the good person he is. I towed it out to grumpys garage. Where his expert diagnosis was in. The overheat burned the head gasket. DAMN. Long story short. The car has been taking up space for months because im usually broke these days and i had it brought out there before i was prepared to pay for parts..lol . i had the heads 3 angled decked and tanked. They looked great. Also i failed to mention the 3 stuck plugs from excessive heat. Everything is back together now. Moral to the story is use anti freeze and if you overheat shut it off immediately!!! And tow it. After re-assembly. No hot restart! Damn. Ill be posting a seperate article in electric if anyones interested. Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry it took so long to answer...carry on
