cam install on a bbc

It’s been a long darn time since I’ve rebuilt and engine and my son and I are having fun at it so far.
I need some clarification please. On my 1975 454 I will be installing the new double roller timing chain kit from summit.
When I get the crank mark at 12 and the cam mark at 6 then I rotate the entire assembly so the cam mark is at 12 and the crank mark will also be at 12.
Then I’m on number 1 tdc. Is this all correct? Thanks guys I appreciate the help.
