"HEY GRUMPYVETTE?
My head is a-buzz with statistics. First, the car: 89 Corvette 5.7
TH700r4, 3.07 Dana 36 rear. Thus far, my only performance mods
have been true 2-1/2" duals/Random-Tech high-flow converters/
Hooker Super-Comps/X-pipe/B&B muffs. I do have to pass a
sniffer and visual emissions, so all pieces are in place. I run
Chevron Supreme 91 octane exclusively.
Components I already have awaiting the swap:
AFR 195 (pre-eliminator, but competition CNC ported) heads-not
ideal for this application, I know.
Accel lower TPI base, heavily ported.
SLP runners, very heavily ported.
Plenum siamesed, and ported as well.
Crane 1.6 aluminum roller rockers.
Motorsport 24lb injectors.
DUI didtributor.
MSD 6-A.
MSD 10.5 wires (not because I needed them, they look cool)
Cloyes Tru-Roller timing set.
Converter to be determined, but leaning towards a Hughes
because they are local, cheap, and I went to HS with Jim
Hughes-but thinking about 2,400 stall.
This is not a daily driver, mostly just weekends with the
occasional weekday to work.
Reliability will be king, and I do know that I'll be talking to PCM's
for less about a PROM.
Any help you can throw me will be appreciated"
this cam will be a very good match to your combo

yes IM fully aware youve got an L98 and it says LT1-4 that simply requires you to either cut the pin in the cam nose a bit shorter OR like most guys you can tap it slightly deeper in its hole, in the cam nose to get it the correct length with a small hammer
theres a similar option from crower
http://www.crower.com/misc/cam_spec/cam ... 2&x=29&y=6
ph# 619-661-6477
be sure to talk to both cam company's and YOU decide, both are decent options that should match your requirements
