can,t get those valve keepers loose?

then to get the keepers loose ,that's easy,spray carb cleaner, or acetone and marvel mystery oil mixed 50%/50% to dissolve crud, on each retainer,then just whack the crap out of the retainer a bit off center , on opposite sides twice BEFORE you start to use the valve spring compressor on each one with a hard plastic mallet, now don,t get nuts, a sharp rap with a snapping wrist action on the mallets all that's required, the idea is to twist the retainer just a bit away from the valve keepers, done correctly they loosen right up, don,t go all nuts though you won,t want to bend or break the valve train components.
BTW a few SUPER MAGNETs laid near each valve spring sure helps prevent lost keepers, when you get fumble fingered, lay one on each side of the spring and you could not loose a keeper if you tried too, in fact you can,t get them off the magnet without needle nose pliers
