the valance is identical to a Catalina, but the hood is not pointed?

I really like the small hood scoops. I wonder if they can be bought as a pair, the whole hood or must they be cut out and welded into a Catalina's hood? I assume they are from GTO? A Firebird? Somebody like to comment?

Looks good Richard.
Drag racers Bond on Harwood fiberglass hoodscoops all the time.
To make it look right and last you will need to hire a professional bodyman.
About 15-24 hours labor time involved.
I helped on projects similar in tbe past.
Lots of sanding time by hand involved.

You can also use a Stock original GTO Or Firebird HO Formula Early bird Ram Air Hood. Cut out A 3' x 3 ' foot section.
Hammer weld in. About 30-40 hours labor time then.
Original 1968-1970 GTO & 1967-69 Firebird Ram Air hoods worth several Thousand today each $$$$.
Also can buy a Repop hood. Might be China quality .

I would buy another Catalina hood, make sure it fits and run with the original hood until the project hood is ready.
Believe it or not, I can do paint and bodywork as good as any professional - it just takes me 10X longer with 10X the mess.

One old friend of mine is A bodyman for a longtime. A few years older than our '70 Birdman - John.
Awesome custom Glass & Steel bodywork.
Car Craft Magazine front cover quality .
He always took care of my T/A paintwork in the past.
Got into an accident 5 years ago.
Head injury Headaches keep him from working too long.

Looks a 68-70 GTO hood in the pic to me. I had a 68 Judge clone with that hood. Fiberglass on a steel hood doesn't hold up well over time. The difference in expansion/contraction rates of the materials causes it to crack. Just moving the car from sun to shade may be a 40-60 degree change on a summer day. I had a 67 Nova SS pro streeter that suffered from it. Scoop had been grafted on before I bought the car and the hood cracking was present when I bought it. I had too many other projects that were more important so it was still like that when I sold it. I think that's the only car I never lost a race in.

yea richard i wonder if they are sold as a package deal too... thats just too nice to pass up
