This could be a big subject as recently I've been contemplating something different. I've been thinking how you never see (or even listed for sale) the late 60's Corvairs. infact, I can't find any for sale after 1966 and they made them through 1969.
Another car is the Chevrolet Monza. that car was made for 5 years and over 730,000 of them, so you shouldn't call them "Rare" (unless you're selling one on eBay or CL  ). They were lightweight at 2600 lbs and you could get them with 5 different engines 4 cyl., 3.8 V6, 4.3 V8, 305 and even had a 350 with a four speed available in a 2 + 2 configuration. They even had options like F-41 suspension and sport handling packages. I can imagine weight to power ratios can be really wild numbers. The one feature that stands out the most is you have a lightweight subcompact that it doesn't need any modifications for any small block/trans combo, did I mention it's a rear wheel drive and they had A/C? I actually sat in one a while back, it's a tight fit for anybody 6' 2" or taller to fit in a sub-compact. What else is seldom seen?
