It's real basic but imperative if you live in the Midwest like I do or East Coast.
It's getting down to -25 F Tuesday here in Illinois.
Wenesday its a High of -14F and at night down to -28F.

You will lose the engine in your Daily Drivers, Hotrods, & and The Race Car.
Need at at least a 50/50 mix of Antifreeze.
-34 F.
-45F be even better.
 
The battery must be fully charged or it will freeze.
If unsure pull the battery out and put it in your house basement.
 
Its been -25- -35 celcius here several weeks ,i use 50/50 mix antifreeze
But squarebody was frosen one morning ,so diesel heater didint work begause coolant didint circulate
Few hours in block heater and it started
Car was iddling half hour before coolant started to circulate

she is dropping fairly low here on the east side of Michigan also. Lots and lots of snow coming down too.

I have to be out in this weather Believe it or not !
At 4 AM I have to attempt to start my Chevy Tahoe . -27 F or colder.
Drive in 1/2 hour.
Lead a crew of 6 and get all the Diesel Engine school buses started up.

Read tonight all diesel engines become impossible to startup at -30 F or near.
Guys in Sibera talking on a diesel engine forum.

Babysit for 12 hours.
Come home & do it again Thursday ! -25 F.
