chinese intake manifold quality

Ive recently had several people who purchased this brand of imported intake manifold, post about inconsistent gasket mating surfaces, and failure to seal correctly.this has been found on small block, LS and big block chevy intake models
this might be a limited issue,on a small number of intakes or it could be a more wide spread issue, but It's sure to be annoying, if your forced to deal with it, so for awhile at least Id suggest avoiding these as quality control issues seem to be happening lately

Ive used one of thier lsx intake manifolds on a build i did and had to have the cylinder head mating surface planed before gasket matching, i got the manifold used and attributed it to maybe an overheating issue or something from the previous owner, i didnt realize this was a known issue for these intakes... i will tell you maybe im being superstitious but ive yet to have a nitrous backfire on a car with a metal aftermarket intake manifold, and all the nasty backfires i see from other peoples cars have had polymer intakes... i guess maybe next time ill pony up for the weiand if they still make it.
