cold steel Natchez's bowie

the cold steel Natchez's bowie, is one of the last designs they made before the company was sold,
and its been discontinued
its NOT a full tang design and for that reason alone,

ID avoid it like the PLAGUE ,
if you were considering it as a true defensive weapon, your life might depend on.

despite what you see in the videos, its structurally defective and prone to fail under hard use.
I would be very reluctant to trust this, handle without the full length tang in real combat
yes it looks and feels great in your hand , but ID never trust it,
(yes a skilled tig welder could add a full tang and a good blade-smith could,

build a far stronger handle, but that work would add considerably to the cost.)
its a damn shame they got stupid & cheap trying to save pennies,

but in the process destroyed the designs strength.:swearing:

you could more likely depend on something like this kukri to not break

heres a lighter weight but still full tang version

Grumpy my hunting knifes ae just that hunting knifes they stay stored in a plastic bag inside a 5 gallon bucket with a lid where I keep all hunting stuff Knifes ,Sox ,Gloves , Raidos , and a million other small things that I can keep it together for next season but my question I clean scrub and rinse them then heat them in hot water almost to boil then rinse and dry then blow off with air then let them set for a couple days to air dry just in case what would use as a rust- protective spray while they set in the baggie in the bucket in the basement it doesn't really matter but they are a gut hook knife that I can't remember the name on the other 2 are Swiss Army knifes one big folding lockblade and the other a smaller version they have all been nothing but deer knifes

it looks like theres a similar but full tang design, :like:

not a cheap rat tail handle the cold steel is selling:facepalm:

I may just order one as it looks like they built a useful tool using the original bowie blade design features
