Connecting Rod Issue Or Not?

Mark IV 454 4-bolt main truck motor (Goodwrench replacement). Was watching a video regarding rod bearing installation and the chap indicated that the rods he had were unuseable due to the “depressions” or “slots” in the caps were not supposed to be there. Some of my rods have the same (pics attached) and were there when I removed the old bearings. Problem or not?

the rods having two types of bearing tab locations is
not an issue if the connecting rod was properly resized,
and bearings match the intended application,
and rotating assembly components being used, have correct clearances
