I have engine that is converted from a auto to a 6spd ZF .
So I have no original DM flywheel from that engine to use, only a flexplate.
And I have a used DM flywheel from a donor car thats going on that automatic engine..

Can I just bolt on that DM flywheel, or must I match balance that DM flywheel to the flexplate?

I know that in theory you should be abel to bolt on any 1pc flywheel , as the weight offset should be the same.
What would you do in this case?

if its a factory rotating assembly , the factory flywheel or flex plate, from that year and model corvette, or most aftermarket components specifically designed to interchange with that particular year car and engine, from a manual transmission corvette, should be able to be used and the assembly should remain within tolerances, obviously the best thing would be to pull and verify the rotating assembly matched to the parts you'll use but there is also thousands of guys driving cars that simply swapped components and few will have significant balance issues, obviously the bell housing and clutch must also match the application.
since your posting in the corvette area and previously referred to a C4 corvette,Id remind you the C-beam, clutch, bell housing, transmission, shifter ,clutch throw-out bearing, any tranmission sensors and linkages and drive shaft, and obviously clutch petal assembly will need to match the application and chance from what the auto trans used.
BTW your not necessarily stuck with the transmission that came in your car, or corvette, if you find a really clean c4 corvette or muscle car, thats got a different transmission than you really want, if you get the car at a great price it might be well worth the time and cost to convert the car to a manual trans , or a 4L80E yourself
